Visit a small family-owned Alpaca Farm in Grass Valley. Enjoy coffee and muffins while hearing about processing the wool into yarn, spinning and weaving. See samples of finished hats, gloves and scarves in natural earthy colors or in a series of contemporary colors. Then go into the corrals and meet these friendly, curious pets. Visit the Empire Mine Historical Park. At the park, you will enjoy a typical Cornish pastie lunch served by docents in period costume before you stroll through the formal gardens and enjoy a glimpse inside the Bourn's lovely stone "cottage". You'll be able to go into the mine shaft, browse through the historic mine yard and see the scale model of the underground, with its 367 miles of shafts, drifts, and stopes. The first time offered at a Section Meeting! Because of its large coverage area, the Global Hawk has become a useful tool for recording data and sending it to warfighters on the ground. Talk to USAF pilots about the importance of checking TFR's before you fly. Eat your box lunch while you ride the shuttle to Beale AFB. Registration for this tour requires your Name as it appears on your Driver's License, the Number with state of issue, and Birthdate. NO sign ups for the tour after 09/15/2009.
